Harrison Pensa usually hires up to four summer law students. To be eligible, students must have completed their first or second year of law school by the time their summer employment would start.
We accept applications by email, mail, and via the viLaw Portal which opens Monday, January 2, 2023 at 9:00 a.m. and closes Monday, January 16, 2023 at to 5:00 p.m.
Application deadline: Monday, January 16, 2023 at 5:00 p.m.
Call Day: Students invited to an interview will be contacted on Thursday,
January 26, 2023 at 8:00 a.m., to schedule the date and time of interviews.
Interviews: Interviews will be conducted between Monday, February 6, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at 5:00 p.m. Students who will be out of Ontario during this period may be accommodated before February 6.
Offers: Offers will be made by Thursday, February 9, 2023 at 8:00 a.m. and will remain open until 5:00 p.m. Offers made after this time shall be left open for a reasonable time.

Summer applications should include the following:
- Covering letter
- A copy of your undergraduate transcript and your law school transcript to date, as well as your graduate transcript, if applicable. (If the timing of release of marks at your law school is such that your transcript will not reflect your most recent grades, please feel free to provide whatever unofficial record about those grades that is available from your law school.)
- A list of the courses in which you are currently enrolled if your transcript does not already include this information, and as well, a list of the courses in which you anticipate enrolling in your third year of law school.
Reference letters are not required but are welcome.
