Southwestern Ontario will have a strong voice on behalf of the legal profession as Mana Khami begins her term on the Ontario Bar Association’s Board of Directors as Southwestern Ontario OBA Regional Director.
“I’m honoured to begin the one-year term working with my colleagues in law to identify and advocate for issues and opportunities in the region and working the OBA’s Board of Directors to find solutions,” Mana said.
Mana is a Partner at Harrison Pensa and leads the firm’s general litigation practice, engaged most often with employment and labour issues, commercial litigation, and professional negligence matters.
There are eight OBA Regional Directors in the province responsible for soliciting comments from their constituents and sharing with Council.
“This position works best with input and dialogue as a legal community motivated to improve how we deliver services,” Mana said. “I welcome your comments and feedback so we can promote regional issues and contribute to the wider conversation of OBA advocacy in the province.”
Mana’s achievements include her role as Past-Chair of the OBA’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Executive Board, and appointment to The Advocates’ Society 10+ Standing Committee. She is also recipient of the London Top 20 Under 40 Award and has received the Ontario Volunteer Service Award.
“The partners, lawyers, and staff of Harrison Pensa congratulate Mana on her election as a Regional Director,” said Harrison Pensa Managing Partner Andrew Graham. “Mana is a leader in our firm, community and profession. She will be an excellent advocate for the legal profession on many different and important issues.”
