Join us every week for the Friday 5 where we get the inside scoop on the lawyers of Harrison Pensa. Featured lawyers answer 5 questions about who they are and what they care about. You’ll be surprised at what you will discover.
Q: How is practicing law different than you thought it would be?
The practice of law is primarily done behind the scenes. You spend dozens of hours researching, strategizing and drafting documents for every hour you get to spend with your client closing a transaction.
Q: What makes a typical day great?
An ideal day at the office is any day where I get to work with a client to grow their business through an acquisition, to sell their business so they can move on to new opportunities or to reorganize their corporate structure to realize greater tax efficiencies.
Q: Hit random on your iPod – what are the top 5 songs that come up?
- Of Monsters and Men – Little Talks
- Mumford & Suns – The Cave
- Armistice – Mission Bells
- The Sheepdogs – Southern Dreaming
- The Decemberists – Down By The Water
Q: Last foreign country that I visited was? Why?
The last foreign country my wife and I visited was Italy for our honeymoon. We visited Cinque Terre, Tuscany and Lake Como. The pasta, pizza and wine really did taste better there. We have a number of other countries to visit but I feel like we will return to Italy a few more times.
Q: What do your friends think of lawyers?
I am not sure what they think. If you might not like the answer to a question, don’t ask it.
