Chief Operating Officer
Adam Jean is Harrison Pensa’s Chief Operating Officer and is responsible for leading the firm's day-to-day operations and supporting the firm's partnership with the implementation of their vision and strategy.
Adam comes to Harrison Pensa from a publicly-traded mining company where he served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President Finance and was previously the Controller.
During his seven year tenure as a senior financial executive with a public company, Adam gained significant and diverse experience including public and private equity financing, regulatory compliance, financial reporting, risk management, financial modelling, negotiation and management of legal agreements as well as experience supporting the Company's strategic partner relationships and project development activities. Adam was responsible for the corporate operations including finance and accounting, information technology, human resources, procurement and office administration.
Previously, Adam Jean also held a Senior Management position with Ernst & Young LLP (EY). During his eight year tenure with EY, Adam gained extensive financial reporting, assurance and risk advisory experience in a variety of industries. His clients included public, private, domestic and multi-national companies throughout Southwestern Ontario.
Adam was born in London and raised in Grand Bend and obtained his undergraduate degree from Western University where he attended the Ivey Business School. Graduating with distinction, Adam went on to obtain his CA (Chartered Accountant) and CPA (Chartered Professional Accountant) designations. In 2014, Adam was selected as a recipient of Business London’s Top 20 under 40 Awards for his career achievements and for his volunteer contributions in the community with the Sunshine Foundation of Canada where he served in executive roles, including as President and Treasurer of the Board.
