Matthew Bota is a Partner with the Wills, Estates, Trusts and Charities Law Group and the Business Law and Financial Services Law Group at Harrison Pensa. His practice focuses on corporate/commercial, real estate and tax litigation. Matthew's previous experience in the insurance industry taught him the value of client service, which he brings to his role at Harrison Pensa.
Matthew earned his law degree from Western University. While at Western, Matthew worked in the Business Law Clinic drafting agreements and completing transactions for small businesses. Matthew was also a researcher for Professor Richard H. McLaren, where he developed a deep understanding of secured transactions.
When he’s not serving his clients, Matthew enjoys spending time with his young daughter, wife, and Portuguese Water Dog, Harry.
Juris Doctor (with distinction), the University of Western Ontario. Received the Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt Award in Tax, the Catalyst Capital Scholarship in Bankruptcy, Insolvency and Restructuring Law, the Catalyst Capital Writing Scholarship in Advanced Restructuring and Insolvency Law, and the Law Society of Upper Canada Prize.
