Lou-Anne Farrell is an accomplished London lawyer and joins Harrison Pensa as Counsel with an established Wills and Estates Litigation practice. Lou-Anne brings to the firm significant estate litigation experience and broad client network. Her practice includes will challenges, spousal and dependent’s claims, removal of executors and contested estate audits, as well as Power of Attorney litigation, capacity litigation, including the appointment of guardians, and Breach of Trust claims. Further, she also acts as a mediator in certain estate-related disputes for clients.
Lou-Anne was invited by Justice Dietrich, the lead justice for the Toronto Estates List, to sit on the Ontario Estates Bench-Bar Liaison Committee. She is a former Chair of the Trusts and Estates Section of the Ontario Bar Association, has written and spoken frequently on issues related to Estate Litigation, and is a former Alternate Chair of the Ontario Review Board, the tribunal which conducts annual reviews of persons found not criminally responsible for criminal offences by reason of a mental disorder. She is a past President of the Board of Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southwestern Ontario and an Honourary Director of the Children’s Health Foundation.
