Katie Warwick


Katie Warwick is an Associate with the Labour & Employment Law Group and the Family Law Practice Group at Harrison Pensa. In Katie’s employment practice, she represents and advises both employers and employees in a plethora of employment-related matters, including human rights complaints, allegations of discrimination or harassment, and wrongful termination disputes. In her family law practice, Katie represents clients both privately and through Legal Aid Ontario on matters relating to parenting time, decision-making responsibility, spousal support, divorce, property issues, and domestic contracts.

Katie’s employment law responsibilities take her before the Ministry of Labour, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario, while her family law responsibilities include appearing in the Superior Court of Justice and the Ontario Court of Justice.

Originally from Chatham, Katie moved to London to work with Harrison Pensa as a Summer Student before returning to complete her Articles. A graduate of the Dual JD Program at Windsor Law and Detroit Mercy Law, Katie has a law degree from both schools. During her studies, Katie interned for Judge Arthur J. Tarnow at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, and volunteered with the Federal Pro Se Legal Assistance Clinic where she provided legal assistance to low-income individuals self-representing in federal court. Katie was also active in moot court during her studies, and she continues to offer her assistance as a coach and judge of her universities’ mooting competitions.

Katie is a considerate and thoughtful advocate who prioritizes her clients’ needs and always strives to find cost-effective solutions to their problems. Clients appreciate her compassionate and direct approach, and they can always count on her to provide goal-oriented advice.

When she’s not in the office, Katie enjoys trying new restaurants with family and friends, reading science-fiction and fantasy books, CrossFit training, and watching movies with her rescue cat, Buyo.
