Jennifer Wall is an associate lawyer in the Family Law Group at HARRISON PENSA™. She serves clients who are separating from a spouse, working out co-parenting arrangements, dealing with the Children’s Aid Society, or drawing up agreements before they marry or move in together.
Clients turn to Jennifer for help in resolving challenges related to custody and access, child and spousal support, divorce, division of property, child protection, and restraining orders. Jennifer believes strongly in preventing problems before they arise whenever possible, so she also advises clients on the creation of domestic contracts such as marriage, cohabitation, parenting, and separation agreements.
In addition to a law degree from the University of Toronto, Jennifer has also earned a Bachelor of Health Sciences (Honours) in Biomedical Science. After completing her thesis, Jennifer published, “Development of a prenatal psychosocial screening tool for post-partum depression and anxiety,” in the scientific journal Paediatric and Perinatal Epidemiology. This project, which focused on mental health in pregnant women, prompted Jennifer to bypass medical school for a legal career instead.
A native of Calgary, Jennifer grew up hiking and camping on weekend trips to the Rocky Mountains, an experience that has inspired her lifelong interest in geology and maps. Jennifer continues her outdoors expeditions here in Ontario by traveling to Georgian Bay to hike the Bruce Trail with friends. An avid reader, she also enjoys cooking and hosting dinner parties, where she loves to experiment with unusual dishes.
