Gerard "Ged" T. Tillmann
Ged was called to the bar in 1978 and has a diverse litigation practice that has led to appearances at all levels of the courts. His practice includes insurance services work including personal injury, property loss, commercial general liability, business interruption, fidelity, title and mortgage insurance claims. Ged has extensive experience in debt recovery and security enforcement, which involves recovery work for credit granting institutions including power of sale, foreclosure and general debt collection, as well as commercial and estate litigation. He also has experience handling Aboriginal/First Nations matters. He successfully represented a number of defendants in two aboriginal land claim actions that went all the way to the Supreme Court of Canada.
Ged has been very active in community organizations. He is a past member of the Board of Directors for Community Living London and Dads Can and was a volunteer for St. Joseph's Health Care Foundation Capital Campaign. He is the former chairperson of the St. Thomas Aquinas School Council, a former trustee of the Middlesex Law Association, and a former board member of the Parkwood Hospital Ethics Committee and Friendship in Action, a community outreach group for seniors.
