K. Daniel Reason


Dan Reason is a Partner and the Practice Group Leader for the Restructuring, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Group at Harrison Pensa, and a member of the Business and Financial Services Law Group and the Litigation and Dispute Resolution group. His practice includes resolving priority disputes between creditors, enforcing security, managing and resolving legal issues surrounding workouts, reorganizations, receiverships and bankruptcies. Dan also has experience in commercial litigation involving partnerships, inter-corporate disputes and generally commercial litigation issues. His clients include financial institutions, asset based lenders, receivers, trustees, corporations and individuals involved in complex commercial matters.

Dan has appeared as an advocate at all trial and appellant Courts in Ontario and has appeared in the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal.

He is an active member of the Canadian Finance & Lease Association, the Advocates’ Society and the Canadian Bar Association. He has also published articles for client and legal conferences and seminars and is a frequent speaker at industry and client seminars. 

Dan is actively involved in fundraising for various charities and organizations including The Thames Valley Children's Centre, The Salvation Army, The United Way of London and Middlesex and London Lawyers Feed the Hungry.

In his spare time, Dan is active in the community as a volunteer. He competes in triathlons, marathons and ultra-distance relay events and has coached hockey, soccer and managed a ski racing team at the Georgian Peaks Ski Club.
