Summary of the Proceedings

This claim is brought on behalf of all persons resident in Canada, excluding Quebec, who purchased or leased a new automobile in Canada manufactured by one of more of the defendants as early as 1990 until present (the “Class Period”).

It is alleged that the defendants participated in an unlawful conspiracy to fix, increase, and/or maintain prices and supply of certain automobile parts in Canada contrary to the Competition Act.

Harrison Pensa LLP has been working in concert with Strosberg Sasso Sutts LLP in the prosecution of this matter.

The Carriage Order

Pursuant to a Court order dated May 15, 2018, Harrison Pensa LLP and Strosberg Sasso Sutts LLP were granted carriage of the proposed proceeding and two other class actions were permanently stayed. A copy of the Court’s order can be viewed below


The plaintiffs’ certification motion record was filed on February 6, 2018. Further information will be posted as this matter proceeds.
