On October 18, 2018, the business community came together to celebrate this year’s inductees to the annual London and District Junior Achievement Business Hall of Fame.

We were thrilled to celebrate one of Harrison Pensa’s founding partners, Claude Pensa, who was named as this year’s Business Hall of Fame inductee alongside Bill Gray, president of LH Gray and Son Limited.

Called to the bar in 1956, Claude’s career culminated at the helm of Harrison Pensa LLP working with local, national and international clients, and today it is widely considered to be one of Southwestern Ontario’s foremost full-service law firms. In 1962, he started Giffen Pensa with Jim Giffen. Claude went on to form Pensa and Associates in 1985, and Harrison Pensa in 1999 following a merger with Harrison Elwood. Harrison Pensa has since grown to a team of over 60 talented lawyers and litigators supported by over 100 staff.

Junior Achievement and CIVA Communications prepared this wonderful tribute to Claude, including interviews with just a few of the people whose lives Claude had touched throughout his storied career.

“Through his vision, citizenship, mentorship, business acumen, entrepreneurial spirit and gifts of time and treasures, Claude has had an lasting impact on London and our firm”, says Adam Jean, Chief Operating Office at Harrison Pensa. “His remarkable accomplishments through his life, career and in his service to our community are renowned. He has worked to protect human rights, has dedicated himself to helping the community’s most vulnerable and has been a leader in the practice of law. His rich and complex legacy includes a commitment to social justice and to mentoring others in the firm that bears his name. We are delighted to see Claude honoured in this way.”

Whether through the prominent law firm that bears his name, the local charity he created to help feed those in-need, or his longstanding reputation as a visionary in the legal world, Claude has dedicated much of his life to serving others.

The entire Harrison Pensa team congratulates Claude and thanks him for his leadership, mentorship and his indelible contribution to the practice of law and to the London community.

Special thanks to the team at Junior Achievement and District for this wonderful celebration of business excellence.
