Over $8000 was raised at the door by generous clients and friends of the firm at the Harrison Pensa Annual Turkey Bowl event on November 22, 2012. Donations received meant that this year over 470 holiday turkeys will be distributed to London’s most vulnerable in London.
Each year, our firm hosts the highly-anticipated Turkey Bowl where we invite clients and friends of the firm from London and surrounding community to help raise money for London Lawyers Feed the Hungry – a charity founded locally by Claude and Elaine Pensa – while enjoying a great game of football on American Thanksgiving. Every year, thousands of dollars are raised to purchase hundreds of holiday turkeys that are distributed to local charitable organizations including: London Area Food Bank; Men’s Mission; The Women’s Shelter; Western Area Youth Services; and the Community Meal Programs.
We would like to express our since gratitude to clients and friends who gave so generously at the door and especially to the London Food Bank and Belwood Poultry who significantly supported the program this year.
Since 2004, over 3700 holiday turkeys have been distributed through our community to those who are most in need.
